Gypsy Challenge

These pictures will show my Gypsy Challenge as she left here. The other two pic show how she returned broken in half and the paint on her nose rubbed off. This doll was sold but when she returned broken of course the girl sent her back to me.
She was mailed to ARQ for a photo shoot from the Houston Quilt show as you can see in the New ADQ she arrived there broken.I am stunned they would take pic of a damaged doll.. page 65..
I am really hurt that some one would be so carelees with these dolls.I cannot believe her face was wrappen in bubble wrap as it was when she left and come home with the paint rubbed off!!Much less broken in half..

Oh Jacque! I thought something was wrong when I saw the picture in the magazine today! What a crying shame that someone did that and didn't have the courtesy to let you know what happened and at least apologize! Makes one think twice about entering dolls in these shows!

Oh my goodness that's horrible Jacque!!! I hope that someone calls you to apologize. But even that doesn't excuse someone's carelessness. Don't they realize how much time, money and love are invested in these creations? They're not just dolls, but are truly little pieces of our souls. Somehow I wonder if they would have been as careless wrapping and mailing back a painting.

I'll never understand how this doll got broken. And it makes me mad and sad. I know what a beautiful doll she was. Well, even broken she is still a beauty.

You can lodge a complaint with the group who handles this - it might be the Material Girls. Although it won't make you feel any better maybe it will help someone else in the future. Natalie had a doll ruined when it shipped back from a show in California. It is hard not to be hurt when you have put so much of yourself into a piece. I am so sorry this happened to your doll.

Jacque-I am so sad and mad for youas well- how the hell can a magazine take a picture of a broken doll and PUBLISH it- not notify you and then send it on to the lass who bought her- I cannot believe how inconsiderate and insane this is!!
They may not care about you or your doll and they sure dont care about their so called reputation !
I am so sad for you -this is a beautiful doll and she is a part of your soul and I am so angry they did this- the colouring of the dolls face is so different its absurd! What did they think they were doing taking photos of a broken doll anyway- and why the heck didnt they notify you ?? and tell you she was broken etc????? grrrrrrrrrr.

How awful that this happened! How a doll could break in half like that is beyond belief and to photograph her that way and publish to a magazine is just shameful! So sorry Jacque!!

Oh Jacque what a terrible thing to happen to your doll. Looks like someone has definitely dropped it. However it happened they should have informed you and apologised.
It is a lovely doll and I have seen your dolls to know how much of detailed work you do on them.
